If you buy only one power tool, this should be the one. No messing about with tangling cords, and far more mobile. Useful as a screw-driver, paint and gyproc mud stirrer, and socket driver as well as a drill. Don't go half measures here, get one with a 1/2 inch chuck and all the battery power you can find. This is not the time for wimpy 8 volt POS drills that can barely turn a screw. Bigger is better here. UPDATE TO GONEAWAY: You may have missed the point here hon. Cordless drills are battery operated, and there is no plugging anything into the wall to operate it. Stick to the New Testament, I think you know that a little better.
