Easily one of the highlights of one of the best albums of the early 1980's, namely "The Lexicon Of Love", "Poison Arrow" evidences both the smooth vocals of Martin Fry and the production talents of Trevor Horn. ABC had a much fuller sound than most of their contemporaries (including the veterans of Roxy Music), and this single is a great example of this. Though the synth xylophone dates it somewhat, this song remains a great example of what made the early MTV years so memorable. "Poison Arrow" charted in the States for 8 weeks in 1983, peaking at #25; however, there have been no notable covers.
