MeeboMe 3

The MeeboMe IM widget is a brilliant concept, that doesn't quite work in execution.

The idea is perfect - provide a plug and play snippet of code that people can plug into their blog or social network to allow private, one on one chat.

The problem is that you need to keep a window open with Meebo for the IM to work. And keeping a window open with Meebo slows down the browser to the crawl.

At least that's been my experience. For those of us that do most of our work within the browser, having a sluggish browser just isn't an option.
