I have a cell phone primarily for work at the moment, and it's rarely turned on. I don't have an answering machine, either. If it's important, they will call back. I think if you're out with someone, if you're having a special evening with familiy, friends, a loved one, a cell phone is a silly little interruption we could do without- and there is nothing that irritates me more than being in a nice restaraunt and a phone goes off.... put it on vibrate, I really don't want to hear your ring tone or conversation.

I see it everywhere. The cell phone user has become the new kind of rude. not all cell phone users are abusers.but there are plenty out there. they talk on the phone driving, holding traffic while they make the call and then oblivious that they can cause an accident.they hold up lines because they are too busy yakking.talk in places they are not supposed to like libraries, churches, theaters. these self absorbed idiots care little about anyone elses's rights.

This can get very annoying. I work in a libray and you are not allowed to use cell phones in the library, if you are using one you are asked to take the call outside. But everyday there is always a couple dozen people whose cell phones go off and they continue to talk on their phones disturbing everyone around them. Even though they are told to go outside they ignore what they are told and continue to use them.

This on bugs the heck out of me. I work at a pet store, and you would not believe how rude people can be when they are talking on their cell phone. I once had a lady who kept asking me questions about a food and then when I would answer, she would start talking to her friend on her head set...she would then look at me and say "sorry were you going to answer that?" !!!! I couldn't believe her!!!
