Gigantic, power hitting first baseman who preceded Eddie Murray in the position. Nothing special with the glove, but he could hit the ball out of sight.

Boog Powell was a great power hitter in his day, although his numbers don't carry over well after the steroid era. He has also endeared himself to Orioles fans with his Boog's Barbecue behind the right field flag porch. He can be seen at many O's games, greeting the fans as they come down Eutaw St. by his barbecue stand. Definitely a guy that Baltimorons love.

60'S/ 70'S slugger, a big guy who won the MVP award in 1970, a first baseman who was an integral part of their glory years. Briefly played for Cleveland toward the end. The best first baseman in Baltimore history except for Murray.
