Excellent pitcher, and another of the key parts of one of the greatest pitching staffs in the history of the game.

Cuellar didn't spend all of his career with Baltimore, but he did have his best years there. He had winning seasons in the first 7 of his 8 years in Baltimore, including 4 20 win seasons and a Cy Young award. He was a part of 3 straight World Series teams and one World Champion. His number isn't retired by the Orioles, but I think he is certainly worthy of that honor.

Cuellar is almost forgotten by many today, but during the period when Baltimore was a powerhouse, he won 20 games four times and was one of the best lefties in the game. Baltimore picked him up in a shrewd trade with Houston for Curt Blefary at the end of 1968, and although Cuellar did not play the rest of his career with Baltimore, his best years were indeed spent there. A 4 time All-Star who won 185 games in his career, the 1969 A.L. Cy Young winner, and one of their best hurlers ever.
