Some of his best years came later in his career with Montreal, with Baltimore, he had some fine years and some years, like their champonship season in '83 where he was terrible. Martinez overcame a drinking problem- it takes courage and class to do that in my view- and wound up with over 200 wins. He is extremely popular in his native Nicaragua, where some have suggested that he could even run for President.
