A better Angel than an Oriole, but an effective hitter and an above average fielder.

DeCinces was a good player, but he had his best years after he left the Orioles. His best year for the O's was in 1978 when he hit 28-80-.286. He is a guy that will be remembered by O's fans, but won't be looked at as one of the All Time great Orioles.

DeCinces was somewhat unfairly compared with the great Brooks Robinson, whose shoes he had to fill, and his best years were actually spent with The Angels.
