Singleton had a great career for the Orioles. He was a 3 time All Star who consistently put up good offensive numbers. He was also part of 2 World Series teams for the Orioles, and was one of the stars on some of the Orioles best teams.

Extremely dangerous hitter, slightly hampered by the fact that he was extremely slow. Not fast when he was young, as he aged he became positively glacial.

Ken Singleton, from all that I have read, just exuded class as a person, and was a very professional/ dangerous hitter in the 70's and early to mid- 80's who consistently put up good numbers. Singleton actually began with the Mets and was then with the Expos for a few years but spent the bulk of his career with Baltimore. Not quite retired number status, but certainly a guy who ranks high on this list.
