In Game 1 of the 1996 ALCS, the Yankees trailed the Orioles 4-3 in the bottom of the eighth inning. Then-12 year-old Jeffrey Maier reached over the right field fence and grabbed a fly ball from Tony Tarasco's reach. The Yankees were awarded a home run, won the game and the series. (Add picture)

I think the ump was Rich Garcia and he had the best view of it of anyone . . . and he said "no interference! " It was the single play most responsible for the return of the Yankees into the World Series where, in my opinion as a Yankees fan, they belong. Shortly thereafter, order was restored in the world with the Yankees back appearing in a string of Fall Classics.

Even Bill Clinton, sitting in the White House, deceiving the entire world about his dalliance with an intern, including the smartest woman in the world, said, "come on, are you blind? "
