Izzy Alcantara was a marginal major leaguer with The Red Sox, who was castigated for not hustling at all on a hit to the outfield some years back. In the cartoons, Superman had a nemesis from the Bizarro world who was an anti-Superman if you will. I like to think of Alcantara as the Bizarro Manny Ramirez, equally carefree and and does some things that make you scratch your head in wonder. The difference is, Ramirez has unquestionably been one of the most talented and deadly hitters ever since his days in Cleveland, while Alcantara was lucky to be in the bigs in the first place. Of course, this was a stupid and disgraceful move by Alcantara, though hardly deserving of a high place on this list, as Alcantara is not a household name, and this was an obscure event to most.
