I'd like this very much. While I understand that it isn't necessary, I still find it a help to keep track of an item's placement when it's preceded by a number. It makes list surfing that much quicker and simpler.

Management tried to explain to me once why the actual rank (i.e. the number 1, 2, 3...) was deleted during the move to the new format, but for the life of me I still don't understand why the change was made. If rank doesn't matter, why the cumulative ratings? It isn't so much of an issue on a short list, but when looking at a full 100+ item list, the lack of numbered ranks becomes an issue. If my favorite movie comes in at #133, so be it; I can take it.
