Coach Dorrell has done a fairly good job with UCLA so far. They had a good year in 2005 and had a really strong showing in their bowl game. I think they may be a team that is on the way up.

Karl Dorrell has got this team back to being a sustantial team in the PAC 10. They played very consistant football this year and competed well with teams like CAL and USC. Both teams rates in the top 5 in the country. The program has a way to go, but his progress is a testament to his efforts at recruiting and coaching.

I'm surprised he was offered and took this job. I would have thought he would pursue a lower profile West Coast job to get some college experience under his belt before going to UCLA. He'd have been a good fit for a school like San Jose State or San Diego State. Yet, here we have a guy who gets a real primo job. UCLA is a fantastic football position with a ton of potential and a whole lot to work with. So for Dorrell is doing OK, not great , but not bad. Still, this is a job that deserves a more accomplished coach....a proven winner with a strong desire to make UCLA relavant again. It needs that guy with 'SC looking to be a juggernaut for years to come.
