07/25/2003 | mika was the fastest qualifier in the business there was no question about that during 98 99 2000. and most of you forgot that mika blew ayrton senna away on his first qualifying. add to this great guts coming back from a life-threatening accident in 95, to win back to back championships in 98 99, and showing his absolutely great skills in overtaking.... even shumacher will admit that...... speaking of shumacher, he's the first to admit that mika is a mega fast driver.
in short the guy is one of the best formula 1 drivers of all time and he'll be missed

I believe Mika Hakkinen is a hugely over-rated driver: he has the car but lacks the skill. How else would Coulthard be so close?
