The Cars 1984 song "Drive", from their standout album "Heartbeat City", acheived notable success in the charts and served as the bands frontispiece for ethiopean famine relief during the Live Aid efforts. While not ground-breaking as were their earlier hits "Just What I Needed" and "My Best Friend's Girl" (from the 1978 album "The Cars"), "Drive" offered a more mature, polished sound to which the public responded.
