Much smoother and better produced than Romeo Void's other major Big 80's song "Never Say Never", "A Girl In Trouble (Is A Temporary Thing)" remains a personal favorite from this often forgotten band. The single starts out strong with its pounding percussion and bassline, punctuated with a nice ska-tinged choppy saxophone, and Debora Iyall's vocals are surprisingly sultry for the subject matter (especially when compared to "Never"). "A Girl In Trouble (Is A Temporary Thing)" was the sole American Top 40 single for Romeo Void (2 weeks in 1984, #35), and there have been no covers of which I'm aware.
