Roethlisberger's health problems has slowed down his level of play, Troy Polamalu is injured, their running game was weakened by the retirement of Jerome Bettis. Add to the mix reports that Coach Cowher is thinking about retiring, thus making him a lame duck. This team just doesn't play with urgency anymore: they're one of those Super Bowl winners that got the prize and were content enough with just one. I think that explains their sluggish level of play this year.

The Steelers are Super Bowl champs, but its not a common occurrence recently to make it back the next year. With Ben Roethlisberger's uncertainty and the losses of Jerome Bettis and Antwan Randle El, I don't think they will equal their performance from a year ago, but they will still likely be a playoff team.
