Well I guess the Colts did make it to the big one. I am pulling for the Bears, but conventual wisdom is talking Colts.

UPDATE: This years Super Bowl should prove more interesting than past years. The Bears have a great defense and the Colts have an excellent offense, so expect good old fashioned football going down the stretch. Both teams utilize a Tampa Bay Cover 2 defense, so the winner will likely be determined by whoever can beat the system they know so very well. In other words, it will come down to the team with the best talent on defense. If there is one guy on that Chicago team that can save the game for them, it will be Brian Urlacher, who will be roaming down the middle of the field, watching and waiting for Peyton Manning to make a big play, and defending it. Containing the passing game will be critical for the Bears. Theyre going to try to chew up time on the clock by using their running backs as much as possible to beat down Indy's offensive line. If the Colts control the clock for more minutes than the Bears, they will almost certainly lose; as Peyton will capitalize and score: the points will build up for the Colts, putting the game out of reach for the Bears, primarily because they don't have a strong enough offense to answer right back. I have even odds set for this game: the Colts can run away with the game if they find a way to contain Urlacher, but the Bears stout defense could hold the Colts to a low enough score to win. Lets see who comes out! If I were to cast a bet, it would be with the Bears: defense in the final analysis wins championships. Very well balanced team on both defense and offense. Peyton Manning is still playing to full form, but the question is whether this team can remain competitive down the stretch. Their running is not as strong this year, especially with the loss of Edgarrin James, but they still have Manning.

Won't win like last year and could be a team on the decline.

Week II: Payton looks so good that he doesn't need a running game. Dungee's D is O.K.

Probably their last chance. You can't even walk to the edge of your driveway or take a dump in this city without hearing about the Colts...

It will be interesting to see how the Colts perform offensively this year without Edgerrin James. Can any other running back fill his role in that offense, or should he have been given more credit for the success of Manning, Wayne, and Harrison. They still seem like one of the best in the AFC, and I don't foresee the Jags overtaking them for the AFC South title.
