We need revenge for what happened in 1995. Just as long as Martyball is dead.

This is a top prospect for the Super Bowl. Simply put, this is a team that has consistently been able to put points up on the board. They have a great running game, receives, top-notch tight ends. And Philip Rivers has done very well in his first year as a starter. Of course, it helps that he has a lot of talent around him. Their only losses have come about when there were some breakdowns in pass coverage, but that's something that can be easily fixed. Once they get back some of their defensive starters, they'll be able to make the final push towards the SB. My bet is that the Colts and SD will meet in the AFC Championship, and SD will win, primarily because RB LaDamian Thomlison will be able to take advantage of Indy's weak run defense, like what happened last year when they met. A runner up for either Indy or SD within the AFC will probably be the Baltimore Ravens, who are also having a good year. They have a better defense, but their offense isn't as high powered as this one.

If Phillip Rivers can replace Drew Brees effectively, then they shouldn't lose too much ground offensively. Steve Foley's mishap with the police hurts the team defensively, but they are still dangerous with Shawne Merriman coming off the corner. They have a shot at the playoffs, but I see them coming up short in Rivers' first year as the starter.
