Fairly small menu, but great food. It is known for its tuna appetizer which is as good as advertised (you can have it one of 2 ways, either the classic version or the new version on the menu - trial both and see for yourself). The seafood, as you would expect, is fresh and very tasty. Also great bread and attentive service.

The food is equal to the hype. I had the tuna appetizer and the halibut entree last night, and they were both out of this world. While the atmosphere wasn't exotic, the service was fantastic and the food.... the food by itself is worth a trip. Be prepared to drop some money though... appetizers are $16-18 and entrees are high $30's.

It is hard to rate a place like Aqua. It is considered a five star restaurant here in San Francisco and the prices prove it but there is no personality. It is your basic foo foo place. Let's say you order the salmon, you will end up getting this beautiful presentation of a plate and a tiny sliver of salmon. The service is good. The staff, pleasant. I just think that Aqua is completely overrated.

Everything is alright. I have been to better places before. The look is too common.
