One of the best authors I've ever read. Foer's novel Everything is Illuminated uses multiple perspectives and heavy, challenging, styleized prose to push the reader and convey some extrmely powerful emotions. Covering the Hollocaust in his first novel and consequences of 9/11 in the second, this author isn't afraid of big issues. Yet he handles them with such tact and sensitivity that the power of the events is what's truely moving.
