 | Randyman (103) 09/03/2006 | My wife and I discovered this lttle sandwich shop nestled inside of a small mom & pop market, tackle shop & gas station, while taking one of our weekend drives. It's near Castaic Lake, in Castaic, California, a popular boating & fishing recreation area about 45 minutes north of Los Angeles. There is some outside seating, but it's been pretty hot, plus some construction has been going on nearby and it's been crowded,so we usually turn on the air conditioner and eat in the truck. I have had the same thing every time I go there, a roast beef,Italian salami and provalone cheese, with the works, including avocado. I have never been disappointed, they are consistent. Everything tastes so fresh I hate coming to the last bite, if you know what I mean. My wife gets the honey roasted turkey, and again she hasn't been disappointed either. It's located at the Parker off ramp on the Golden State Freeway (5), just follow the sign for the lake and look for the Alliance Gas sign, it's impossible to miss. I wouldn't expect anyone to make the drive just for the sandwich, but if you find yourself going down the 5 freeway, give it a try.
