The barbecue is heavy, sugary stuff, not much like the outdoor wood-smoked meat I grew up eating. The hamburgers and hot dogs are decent, as are the Tex-Mex tacos and burritos. The chili was almost bland, definitely NOT like what I grew up with. :-)

This is NOT a mexican restaurant, they do serve taco's, enchiladas and all the usual suspects, but with a Texas twist, plus they serve fajitas, beef & pork ribs, smoked brisket, chili, Po' boy sandwiches, tamale pie, BBQ chicken, Texas barbacoa and funnel cakes. We go there about once a month for breakfast and I'm addicted to everything, especially the barbacoa and brisket. This is no little restaurant, it's huge place. They were originally located in nearby Azusa, but eventually they out grew that location. There is entertainment on the weekend, usually country & western, or Tex Mex, they do serve alcolhol. They have rows and rows of tables and it looks like a bingo parlor, there are lot's of people and the atmosphere is extremely friendly, you really hate to leave. Luckily the place is big enough so they never rush you. I'll just sit and talk with the family until we're ready to leave. It's located in Covina, California. From the 10 freeway, take the Citrus Ave offramp, north for about a mile and look to your right.
