There's so much wrong with allowing your own readers to evaluate and rate your site. What's the point of conducting a survey if the data is going to be skewed.

I got a chance to hang out with Scott Karp a while back, and he's really cool, sharp guy. He provides a much needed non Silicon Valley perspective to the world of Web publishing.  He was also one of the first social media guys to recognize the importance of SEO, and he really dove into it - getting into hardcore seo discussions with the threadwatch crew, which can be a tough place for beginners.  But he stuck with it and now has as a good of handle of any mainstream blogger on the implications of SEO.
