Tries to be to cute. She just gets on my nerves, but then I've not liked anyone since Carson. I'd like to see it hosted by someone more steeped in the movies.

Excellent job!! I love her sense of humor. She didn't deviate from what she does best and it worked like a charm. Hope she comes back next year!!

Ellen injected much needed down-to-earth, good-humored laughs to an otherwise stodgy, long-winded ceremony. Beforehand, I wasn't sure if her comedy style would work for the occasion, but she proved me very wrong. Props to her lifting up the level of the show.
