He is a good coach but the Saints only whip teams they should beat. Until he wins some big games, he has to fall under the "almost overrated" status.

Coach Payton has done a terrific job of building the Saints team. His leadership and use of his players has been no less than masterful.

Only in his first year, but I love what I'm seeing from him so far. The Saints weren't supposed to be going anywhere this year, but he has them near the top of the NFC. His play calling is fresh, and he gets the most out of his players. The Saints made some terrific moves this past season in Payton, Brees, and Bush. I expect them to be a very solid team for the next several years.
