There's a difference between love and lust. In those types of situations, where it's a just a one night stand, usually it's just lust. Love involves a deeper, more long term commitment.

Personally, I think doing this is a cry for help. Afterall, it is a thinly veiled suicide attempt. Seriously--this is a sign of a death wish. I hope to heaven my boys don't ever pull this stunt. This is the sort of thing that can turn the most sane woman evil in less than 60 seconds (and I shudder to think what it does to the ones that are evil to begin with).
