They IP banned me because me and my friends took over the chat room in 2002. So when I went on last year and found some of my old chat buddies, they banned me for talking about "the good old days". Now it is dull. Very dull and no one is near me by 1000 miles.

This site USED to be fun, it USED to be a great place to meet and spend time with friends...then something happened. People started to get deleted and banned from the forums...it seemed that certain emails were not going through and when people questioned the administration.. POOF!! they were deleted. The TOU do not seem to apply to everyone equally. I have seen many great and loyal people just deleted...people who had well over 15,000 posts in the forums and a friends list of 130-150 people...The site is just no longer a great place. There are lots of free sites that have just as many bells and whistles...without the seemingly random censorship and banisment that has happened on this site!

Yes it has forums and real time messaging and various other features. Yes it's free. The trouble with it is it's selective enforcement of it's own terms of use and managements policy of blocking people from the forums and in some cases deleting users without so much as a courtesy email, usually with no apparent breach of the TOU. This was once a great site with mods (all volunteers) that worked diligently to keep it running smoothly. For reasons unknown the list of mods has dwindled to 2 or 3 and it just isn't the same there any more. Oh well, all good things must come to an end. RIP Bookofmatches

I was there for several months. Initially, I just signed in and checked out who was online, etc. Not much activity. The most active part of the site is the forums. They are unorganized and cumbersome and dominated with a few rude nasty individuals. As seems to be the case in smaller sites like this, the moderators are friends with the forum regulars so if the regulars don't like you, expect silly games like a moderator posting and insult then locking you out of the topic so you can't respond, then allows all the rest of the group to throw insults. And as a side note, the predominant types that are active are very hard core right wing republicans and poeple looking only for one night stands. Also, a lot of younger kids (18, etc). Don't bother unless you like to post in the forums and are right wing.
