 | Drummond (54) 02/24/2006 | Great soups and great coffee house atmosphere. One of the last of the colored chalk on chalkboard type places. Most of the other have been bought up and remodelled into the mausaleum Starbucks corporate look.
Great place before or after taking in a double feature at the Balboa Theater. Then you can cross the street for a good espresso at the Zephyr to impess your date with your thoughts on the film.

 | Zipster (0) 11/21/2003 | A fine bar but not the place to actually eat; much better places close by.

 | gbar3849om (0) 01/31/2000 | Local place, bartenders are friendly but don't plan on meeting any guys if you are looking for someone under 40. Crowded,so if you get a bit tipsy no one will notice.

 | dspr460om (0) 11/02/1999 | A great San Francisco establishment. Great place to go for a martini (or three) or to have a good dinner (ranging from the Balboa Burger up to nice steak, fish and pasta entrees). It has a storied San Francisco history. Get there early, as it gets VERY crowded, especially Thursday through Saturday nights. If it's too crowded, you can head across the street to either Eastside West or City Tavern for drinks or to eat.
