I carry a cell phone, and for a variety of reasons, its my only phone. Perhaps because of that, I'm very conscious of where I am when talking on it. I almost always turn it off when meeting with someone, and keep my calls to the briefest minimum in public places. I find it intensely irritating when I'm with someone, their phone rings, and without a pause, they answer and start a conversation. I taught my daughter (now 21) not to do this, by getting up and walking out of a restaurant (leaving her with the bill) when she interrupted our conversation without apology, answered her phone and started a banal conversation with one of her girlfriends. Even more irritating are the perpetual headset wearers, wandering around, holding a conversation. Most of them give the appearance that they have the same need for instant, constant communications, as Houston's Mission Control or the Presidential Security Detail

Although Cell phones are a great invention there needs to be a course on how and when to use them. When you go out to lunch, you are out at lunch. What did we do when we did not have them? I believe we had lunch, right!!! Cell phones can be considered "Rude" at times! Or should I say people that use them can be rude!!! LOL
