 | EschewObfuscation (71) 02/17/2006 | This election definitely changed the course of American history. One minor point: Clinton never campaigned on a balanced budget. He promised a middle class tax cut. He resisted all efforts to curtail spending and can thank Ross Perot for splitting the vote and George H. W. Bush for running the worst re-election campaign anyone could imagine. Clinton favored NAFTA, opposed welfare reform and signed the largest income tax increase in history less than 90 days after his inauguration in 1993.
If Gore08 could be wrong about any more points, I thought I'd strike pre-emptively and save him the trouble. What textbook are those five points derived from? I'll stop muttering now.
