The ability to embed code on the profiles has the same pitfalls as the similar suggestion to allow more photos, namely more clutter. In my opinion some of the new changes have made this site look and feel less clean and professional, and this feature is clearly form and aesthetics over function (i.e. more and better ratings and reviews). RIA isn't and shouldn't be MySpace. Nevertheless, I don't generally browse the profiles of other members anyway, and some may find some decent use of embedding.

I've had a lot of fun customizing my profile page. There are literally thousands of little widgets that you can plug in - games, videos, music... it's like building a Web site. It's a very cool feature that's only going to get cooler as more and more widgets become avaiable. (i apologize for the blaring trumpet music that sounded on my profile for the last couple of days. I've gotten feedback that it was annoying. I've now set it so you have to press play to start a song.)
