I've been a customer for USAA for seven years. They treat you really kindly when you call, and always help to the best of their ability. Most of the time, they just shoot the breeze with you on the phone while you're waiting for systems to update. Employees are very personable, and its nice to be able to laugh an idle chit-chat when you are getting business completed at the same time. Its a great business, and they know how to treat ya.

By far the best customer service I could have asked for. When I was adding a car to my insurance I got Steven, who was SOOOO helpful. I talked to him about accounts, asked multiple questions and he answered all of them. Being young, I asked him about credit cards and building my credit and he explained to me what he did when he was younger. He gave me his extension if I ever needed help again. I have gotten this customer service everytime I talk to them. By far--the BEST I have experienced. I would highly recommend them.

USAA evidently does not like it when you handle your money from one USAA account to another (i.e. sav to check or vis-versa). They do not like it so much that they charge you after you move your money around more than 4 times. If you do this twice, they change your savings account into a checking account.

USAA auto insurance is hilarious. As other companies choose to lower my insurance, USAA for some odd reason feels the need to raise it annually. I went to GEICO and my insurance was cut in HALF! HALF!

I'm currently looking around for another bank to do business with, one that will not charge me for managing my money, one that will not lie to me about their "high yield" (not really) interest rates, what a joke.

In my opinion, customer service is the utmost quality you can have in a company and USAA definitely HAS it. I have never once been disappointed with questions, changes to my policy, and have had to use the tow service twice with absolutely gratifying experience (even though my vehicle was broke-down). Haven't filed a claim with them, but I am 100% sure that I will not be disappointed if and when that time comes. Wonderful rates and lots of discounts.

If you have the distinct priveledge to work with a company of this caliber, you will find that they are few and far between. Every single time I have dealt with them, they have been helpful, considerate, and professional. I truly feel that the operators you talk to CARE about helping you out.

I have accidentally overdrafted my account on one or two occasions... I called the company and within a 5 minute phone call, they had cancelled the overdraft fee. The best part is, after essentially giving me $30 back, they ask if there's anything else they can help with.

I would like to mention that their customer service has been so phenomenal that I have asked to speak to supervisors on a couple of occasions to express appreciation for the operator that had helped me.

It isn't an exaggeration that this is the best company I have ever worked with, and I would even pay a premium on their services (which also happen to be some of the cheapest in the industry).

I have had USAA insurance for years, and unfortunately had to use them several times for claims. They have always been helpful, although not always reachable. They will however return your messages promptly, and take good care of you. The rental reimbursement process has been very easy to use, which is a big help. My one big problem is that the body shop they sent me to repaired my car incorrectly. It has meant that my car is now currently in the shop for a second time, and I have not been able to drive it for atleast 3 months out of this year. I know the shoddy repair job wasn't directly their fault, but they will hopefully take a closer look at which body shops they work with.
