 | richito (0) 04/06/2000 | Akiko's (in the Theater District) is my favorite stop before a show at the Geary Theater. The atmosphere is perfect for couples: it's cozy, seating about a dozen people at most. While California rolls may seem rather passe, the rolls at Akiko's have a special sesame-based seasoning coating the outside that makes it absolutely delicious. The prices are also very reasonable given the quality of the sushi. While Ebisu's will always be my personal perennial favorite, Akiko's is the among the best of the (still) little-known places for an intimate dining experience.
