I like Akiko's because they distribute fresh sushi. Akiko's is expensive but believe me when I say every penny is worth it. The atmosphere is very social, relaxed, and there are a few uptight high class folks. The restaurant is also extremely clean.

The best sushi in S.F. Definitely try the miso soup.

The food was delicious and I really enjoy the customer service. Eventhough I had to wait in line, it was worth it.

They have good sushi, but the music needs to be more up to date.

I like the place where it was located at. It was easy to find and the food was good but the amount of food was too little.

Akiko's (in the Theater District) is my favorite stop before a show at the Geary Theater. The atmosphere is perfect for couples: it's cozy, seating about a dozen people at most. While California rolls may seem rather passe, the rolls at Akiko's have a special sesame-based seasoning coating the outside that makes it absolutely delicious. The prices are also very reasonable given the quality of the sushi. While Ebisu's will always be my personal perennial favorite, Akiko's is the among the best of the (still) little-known places for an intimate dining experience.
