500 club is pretty much a dive bar but I like the fact they have a photobooth. It seems like your typical Mission dive bar crowd. The bartenders seem friendly enough and they only take cash so bring it!

My favorite bar in the Mission, located at 17th and Guerrero. Interesting crowd, good juke box, and a pool table. If you are up for a long night, the 500 club closes at 2Am... but opens at 6AM (if you're a longshoreman from many years ago)

Smells funny. I've been there on weekdays and it was mellow and not to crowded. Music from the Jukebox is sometimes to loud, so you better go ready for some shouting talks.

I used to live just a few blocks from this bar. Always thought the "open at 6 a.m." sign should have been replaced with "we serve alchies here." Who else drinks at 6 am? It's owned by a crazy old Irish guy and has been a fixture in the neighborhood as it has gone through many changes over the years. He brags about serving the strongest bloody maries in the city, and I have to say, I've yet to taste one stronger - of course the horseradish/tobasco combo adds to the effect. There is a small room off to the side that contains a pool table. The wall is a bit close to the table on one side, so they have a special shortened stick for that purpose.

The sign might say Open at 6AM but they lied.

The DJ's are awesome. Diverse group of people. Wild energy.

Good hole in the wall bar in the Mission. Like a troll under a bridge, there's a guy named Howard who guards the pool table (and, word has it, this guy owns the bar).
