I have to say this song really grabbed me from the first time I heard it...while driving in Poughkeepsie, NY, during a bitterly cold and snowy March 1998...to the point of actually searching out the band's name and buying the CD without hearing any other songs, which is not something I'm in the habit of doing. The other songs on the CD actually weren't half-bad, but I liked nothing as much as this catchy, infectious "hit". I haven't heard anything from them since, so I guess they do qualify as a "one-hit wonder", but hopefully they saved some money and are living reasonably well (by the way, what ever happened to Norman Greenbaum?).

This was definately a one hit wonder. I remember the summer of 98' when it came out. I was 6 years old and it seemed like every radio station would play it at least 4 times a day.

this was actually my senior song when I graduated high school...a pretty good song, but i think my sentimental feelings go along with my senior year when i hear it. not with the song.

I actually read a book about Semisonic. Even more surprising - I liked it.
