Her films aren't very interesting.

But her photos from around 1984 seem to stand out from the crowd - maybe because they are narrative. That could sure just be a matter of taste, but I have come around to accepting that my taste in Playboy images is pretty well a clone of other men's tastes.

I can't say exactly why her photos are especially alluring to me. I think her looks are out of the ordinary. Maybe some kind of vulnerable quality that often doesn't show. Also, she doesn't have such outrageously knock-out glamorous looks that so many of the usual centerfolds had in the 80s.

Incidentally, there's this claim around that she's a social worker in Phoenix. I don't know, but I don't think so - t is a wonderfully intriguing fantasy though. But there are indeed some photos on the internet of her selling "Patty Puffs". Also, there is a Q&A with her at pattyduffek.com which seems dubious. It may be bogus, but it is sensible, so maybe it is real. Finally, there doesn't seem to be any award called "Miss Nude 20th Century". Oh well.
