I don't know what it is about Jane, but the more I see her the less I like her! Actually, it makes me sad--I've been rightously angry since she was dumped from the Today Show at the advanced age of 39 because she was too old (come on!!), how asinine can NBC be? Very, apparently, and I still think that sets the bar for the stupidest mindset ever in network TV. That said, as I casually listen to or watch her show, mostly because I leave the TV on after the Today Show, where Martha used to be, I've become so violently irritated with her that I've started wondering what's wrong with me! First, she's so schmarmy and syrupy and girly-girly. Secondly, that stuttering thing gets old--is it real or affected? Thirdly, she affects, or seems to, the primary thing that drives me nuts about new, young (neither of which apply to her)newspeople--she's never heard of any of this before! Everything is new to her! She laughs her head off and/or points out that she's taking notes. I'm still upset that I can't stand her--she seems to be a decent, well-meaning person, but I'm at the point where I keep thinking, Gary Trudeau stays married to her?

Tired format, issues that have been covered extensively by Oprah, Phil and ilk, hosted by a woman who could not look more uncomfortable in her own skin. This show does not manage to bring any freshness nor candor to a dying breed of entertainment. Jane Pauley is a wonderful human being and talented woman, but this is not the genre in which to showcases her abilities and character.

I am very impressed with the Jane Pauley Show! Issues are discussed that aren't being featured on other shows. Stars are being interviewed that have issues that are relatable and aren't being featured on other shows. Some topics are entertaining, while others are quite informative. Jane adds refreshing candor; she asks the questions that need to be asked but her humanity can be seen always. There are surprises and gifts given in certain shows that bring joy to all their recipients. Please tune in and watch this innovative program.

I get the urge to get under the covers and take a nap when i watch her show. I agree that she looks akward and she does not look comfortable with the guest.

*Tired* concepts, Jane looks stilted and awkward in this format.

The show premiered today and I thought it was wonderful! Its a completely fresh approach for a talk show. Jane is smart, informed, intuitive, and very very witty. The tape pieces offer a component of storytelling that I haven't seen before in daytime TV. I laughed, I cried... and it was only the first show!
