This place is packed beyond capacity on weekends and perhaps weekdays. It’s mostly a hipster crowd, but all types of people are present. The drinks are yummy and strong, the music is good for dancing (mostly hip hop, in my experience). Since it’s a relatively small bar, it sometimes gets way too crowded.

Beauty Bar is cool. Really small dive bar with a dj, great music, and great crowd. One of the better bars in the Mission for an upbeat night.

Different yet typical. Everyone I went there with agreed that the majority of the people we saw there (the regulars, maybe?) all seemed to be trying so hard not to conform to conventional fashion trends that they all looked the same--like Beck, to be specific.

This is a pretty interesting bar. I hesitate to use the word "unique" because there is bar similar to it in New York City. An old beauty salon (or just utilizing the old equipment to create the scene), there are woman giving manicures and the chairs with those big hair-drying contraptions. The bar is pretty small so I imagine that it gets pretty crowded.

Nothing super...small. You have to be with the "in-crowd" if you expect to meet anyone.

A solid 3. It isn't bad. The atmosphere is kind of cool. It is like an old 50's barbar shop. The bartenders are cool but it totally is a hit or miss place. It depends on the crowd which I can't seem to figure out. I sometimes like it, sometimes not. There is a couch in the back, if you get lucky and sit on the couch, it is hard to get up.
