 | mobilebuzz (14) 10/26/2007 | This is also NOT a Mexican restaurant (more like Cuban... well, sort of, since it is according to the West coast)... The Haight location has a little more personality and the weekend crowd is not as obnoxious as that of the Mission location's.

 | speedkitten (2) 09/20/2005 | Loved the food, atmosphere, and energy. Be prepared for a long wait on a Friday or Saturday night for Cha Cha Cha on Haight. My table of four waited for an hour and 15 min after putting our names on the list at 8PM (Saturday). If you're a couple, you can get bar seats in less than 30 minutes. Oh - I highly recommend the Cajun Shrimp!

 | Read My Lips (0) 03/11/2001 | Cha Cha Cha is a great place. It's noisy and very lively. We sat near the grill, which was interesting because we could watch the cooks and check out all the food. The special soup the night we were there was vegetable. It was fabulous. Our waiter was good, too. I liked having a pitcher of water on the table instead of having to keep asking for more. It's a good idea to go early if you don't like waiting for a long time.

 | Shroomwoman (12) 03/07/2001 | I had a very good dinner at Cha Cha Cha last Friday night. I was especially impressed by the interesting menu, which is composed primarily of tapas (smaller appetizer-type dishes). Our group ordered several different ones and shared them, which is the way to go. The Cajun shrimp and the chicken quesadilla stood out, but everything was very tasty. We also ordered the soup of the day, an excellent vegetable soup that was almost a meal by itself. I was glad that we got there early because the place was packed by the time we finished, and it definitely seemed to be a "hip" crowd. The prices are very reasonable. I would've given Cha Cha Cha a five-star rating if it hadn't been so noisy and crowded.

 | Shafty (2) 11/06/2000 | I have been to the Cha Cha Cha Cha located in the Mission District and thought it was a really good restaurant. I went on a weekend night and it was pretty darn crowded - so beware or get there with the flexibility ot have a couple of drinks before being seated. Really good atmosphere, terrific tapas food and the drinks are really cold. Good place to go with a pretty large group of people or just a date.

 | Munson (7) 11/03/2000 | This is a very cool bar/restaurant with what seems like good food. Admittedly, I went there for a birthday party and only got some appetizers, but they were damn good (particularly the cajun shrimp and potatoes). I'm anxious to go back to get a full dinner because everything looked so good. As the other reviewers have said, be prepared to wait for a table. I went to the one in the Mission, got there around 9 and they said that the wait was still about an hour and a half. There is a pretty big bar area, as well, so that could work for dinner.

 | alicat (3) 10/13/2000 | Cha Cha Cha is a great restaurant. The food isn't that great but it is good. Their main attraction are the tapas and sangreia. What makes me like Cha Cha Cha so much is the atmosphere. Whether you go to the one on Mission st. or the one on Haight st., both are really fun and have a great atmosphere. It is a great place to go on a date.

 | gecko (0) 09/25/2000 | Cha Cha Cha is well worth the hour or more wait. The food and the atmoshere are great. Drink lots of Sangria, relax. The chicken pallaird and the cajun shrimp are an absolute must. If you want the food without the wait, head to the Mission street location.

 | magellan (153) 09/05/2000 | There are two Cha Cha Cha's in San Francisco - one in the Haight, and one in the Mission. The one in the Haight is much more interesting - the decor is cooler making for a better atmosphere. The menu features a mix of Cuban and other latin food, and I have never had a bad meal there. You can get a nice big plate of steak, plantains, and black beans and rice for about $13. If you go, make sure to go at an off peak time and day or you will find yourself in a long wait - after 9PM on Mondays and Tuesdays is usually a pretty good bet.

 | Wiggum (16) 09/05/2000 | The food is great and the atmosphere is eclectic and interesting, but I find the crowd to be trendy in a slightly annoying way, and the wait on almost any night of the week can be brutal. But overall I think Cha Cha Cha is a fun, and the quality of the food outweighs the fact that you have to deal with crowds of too-cool people in tight black clothes and leather jackets.
