This country is an interesting case study of human behavior. Do-gooders founded the country as a place to relocate freed slaves from the USA.

The freed slaves became established, became the elite and lorded it over the natives until overthrown in a bloody revolution. The freed slave elite even held slaves!

What used to be a jewel in the crown of African democracy has become a lawless hellhole that barely sustains itself as a viable state. Starvation and murder are now par for the course in this once beautiful country.
