An Inconvenient Truth...couldn't get through the whole thing. I know he's an advocate for global warming, but he's dry; you have to make it interesting to keep your audience captive.

Foul. Being an arrogant prick and being a nerd isn't the same thing.

Sheesh, I know that Al Gore didnt invent the internet. My point is he acts like the Super web-Nerd with all the Answers.

Good old Algore, faithful friend and companion of the Frankenclintons. That reality sitcom aside, I have to admit - if there is any truth at all in his global warming video then we should give the entire subject (one he has apparntly elevated to a personal faith system) some serious consideration. However it turns out, it is still better to err on the side of caution. Yet, still in all, there is just something so smarmy about the guy and so much of what he does comes across as opportunistic and self-congratulatory...I can only listen to him so long before I have to start fighting my gag reflexes.

Definitely a nerd by all accounts, but a favorite?? Not in my book. Loved his depiction in South Park during the 2006 season..."for cereal."

I'd like him better if he hadn't given up so easily in the hotly contested and still very debatable Florida election scandal.Had the Republicans been in his shoes they'd have turned the country upside-down to get a total recount!I have forgiven him a little since he put out a film trying to show people the hard scientific evidence on Global Warming, though. All in all,he still comes off as a drip.Whether he's a good man or not,he just doesn't have the charisma unfortunately needed in politics.

Think what you will of Al Gore but I think it's important to be fair about some things. The man never claimed to have invented the internet. He has taken credit for coining the term "the information superhighway," and by all accounts he was indeed the first person to ever use that expression.
