Emmaretta 3

The last single that the original band released, a commercially unsuccessful single thatwas evidently a tribute to Emaretta Marks, a singer in the cast of "Hair' that apparently had hooked up with their first singer Rod Evans. This failed to reach the top 100 in Billboard, but made the 'bubbling under' chart- a list of songs that didn't quite make the top 100. Musically speaking, it's an ok piece of blues rock with some good wah-wah pedal from guitarist Ritchie Blackmore and it's got to be one of the few singles even in that period that ended with a drum solo, a brief one by their talented and very underrated drummer Ian Paice.
