A rather dull and pedestrian remake of the song by Billy Roberts that The Leaves, Byrds,Love, and, among about 10 million others, of course, Jimi Hendrix also did. Deep Purple's approach to this standard, which closed their debut album, was to make it a long, ponderous, drawn out epic with Spanish bolero riffs, rather bathetic, world weary filled singing, and a portentous feel to it. Not truly awful, but not one of their finer moments.
