The song has often aptly been compared to the work of Crosby, Stills, and Nash, who had recently emerged not long before this album appeared. It's a good comparison with the high harmonies and fervent acoustic guitar opening, though there are some rather ominous electric guitar parts, making it sound a little like a darker version of that trio.
