It has happened to me a few times. I wonder what it really is. Can we actually live the same moment twice?

Numerous times and yet would have to qualify what, in MHO, constitutes a 'state' of Dejá Vu (which I might have posted elsewhere on RIA already). A mere electric disfunction in the brain would tend to make memories go awry. Proposition: The mind regularly instantly files away our experiences in chronological order, for eventual recollection. Proposition: Occasionally, mild short-circuits in the wiring of the brain create a malfunction. Proporition: Upon malfunction, instead of filing away our experiences in their proper slot, the 'memory' involved is misfiled where it does not belong. Proposition: The misplaced memory, recalled instantly, erroneously comes back to us as a past experience, as if 'viewed before'.

It happens occasionally, I just sit there and live the moment. I would definately love to know what exactly is going on in the brain. The Hippocampus is responsible for learning/memory and I can only think of what neuronal activity is taking place there. Or it could just mean that there is a glitch in The Matrix, hmm.

Lots of times.I've heard many various theories about Deja Vu over the years, from electro-chemical brain illusions to past lives and alternate dimensions.Whatever the cause or causes,it can be a very strange and intriguing moment.Even if you have never felt you've been somewhere before,or that something has happened before exactly as it is happening now,I bet you've met someone and felt like you've known them before!

yes, in fact, sometimes i think that life is just a constant feed-back loop, the events are different, but the context is the same more or less!
