 | Djahuti (54) 10/17/2006 | Nobody gets fat just from living longer.There is now a growing problem of obesity in KIDS.Weight gain comes from consuming too many empty calories (fast food is notorious),and NOT being active enough to burn the calories consumed.Unless you have a glandular disorder:your fat is your own fault.

 | kamylienne (77) 10/17/2006 | Heh, judging from the various medical reports, I think we here in America already have a jump on that well before we hit old age! Even our PETS are more than often overweight. With increased risk in heart disease, diabetes and cancer, it can be a pretty "big" problem. But it's solution is simple: maintaining a proper diet and exercise. The hard part is, getting ourselves to actually go and DO it.

 | numbah16tdhaha (147) 10/17/2006 | Eh, I've put on 30 pounds since I got out of the Marines, but I was a skinny bastard in the Corps and I can mostly blame my job and its tendancy to have me eating too much fast food for my very mild spare that I'm working on getting rid of before I can't anymore. The other part is being serious about running again, I suppose.
