Taste and personal preference is important but I doubt that the vast majority of people could really tell the the difference from other premium brands. KSV is good enough and great for the price. People love to waste money thinking they are getting something special. This is very good vodka and when mixed is as good as anything else out there.

Wife and I just ran our little blind taste test with Grey Goose, Svedka, and Kirkland Signature. KS is a fine vodka for the price, but we "blindly" ranked it #3 in our (primative) straight up taste test. GG is a little warmer, smoother, and wetter, it's very easy to drink straight up, and never a hang over. Regardless of the marketing hype everyone talks about, GG IS A GREAT TASTING VODKA. Svedka is just a little less refined in texture than GG but it is actually our top choice when we purchase vodka, smooth with no harsh bite, not as warm as GG, but still very nice. KS is a nice vodka, but it has a cool alcholish feel on the tounge, just a bit sharp, and a bit medicinee. Again it was o.k. but Goose is still better.

I bought a bottle of Kirkland vodka because of the frequent comparisons to Grey Goose, which I am a big fan of. Having a blind taste test of straight-up Kirkland vs. Grey Goose shaken with ice I can confidently say that the Kirkland does not even come close to Grey Goose. While the GG has a distinctly smooth finish, the KS had a nasty kick, with a hint of rancid food aroma. While not as disgusted by the taste of KS, a friend of mine also preferred the GG, for the same reason. I've always had good luck with Costco and the quality of Kirkland Signature products. Thinking that I might just have a bottle from a bad batch, I tried to get an even exchange from my local Costco. I figured that their liberal return policy would allow this, especially for a house brand item. No such luck. No return. No exchange. No refund. Ok, well yeah it seems lame to try to return an opened bottle of liquor, but I've seen people return just about everything, including half-eaten pies! That's lame... So I'... Read more

Brand name doesn't matter that much. It's all about the quality and Costco knows that with all of their labeled products. When I was in Washington, a few friends of mine had this during dinner and I must say it's good stuff.

Due to the stock market crash I am reevaluating what I pay for everything. And on a recent trip to Costco decided to forgo my typical purchase of Grey Goose and try the Kirkland Signature. At home my wife conducted a blind taste test with a chilled shot of each. The Grey Goose was distinguishable, has a bit more pepper and a longer finish, but the Kirkland was fantastic and had I not tried them side-by-side I'm not sure I could have detected the difference. This vodka is a winner, save the $30 over Grey Goose and buy some caviar to go with it!

I was shocked at the smoothness of Kirkland Vodka. We've been drinking Grey Goose and Belevdere for a long time but find the Costco brand cleaner. Someone mentioned they're not wild about the Kirkland label. Especially during a recession I'm proud to get a great bargain, and am learning that the Kirkland label means quality.

I have tried all the premium vodkas. I recently tried the Kirkland Vodka and just bought a second bottle. This is very good vodka. If you take it out of the original bottle you will feel better since this vodka is much better than the price would suggect.

This is a great sipping vodka, many times I can find it for about $30 for a 1.75 at Costco.   If you are drinking martinis, then use Kirkland or Sveka, both available at Costco.  These are the three brands I use and I have never ever had a complaint except from one ahole who only drinks KettleOne.  Well I did a drink taste test for him between Kettle and Smirtnov and he picked the Smirnov. You see some people are always sold on brand names.  These are very insecure people who think that what they wear or drink will make them more popular.  They need to wake up.

Did a blind taste test with Jean Marc XO, Belvedere, and Kirkland: my friend (and owner of a very prestigious wine/liquor business in San Francisco) picked Kirkland as the winner. Much better than vodkas of twice the price.

Absolutely a wonderful vodka. Very smooth and as good if not better than Grey Goose or Ketel One at a Absolute or Sky price. Highly recommend you give it a try if you have a Costco with a liqueur store in it.

An excellent vodka at an excellent price. I'd like to see results of a well controlled, blind tasting pitting Kirkland, Grey Goose, Belvedere, Sobieski, Ketel One, and Smirnoff. I'd expect Kirkland to do really well.

No after taste, great mixed with anything. This is an extremely high quality vodka at an unbeatable price. Distilled 5 times, you can't go wrong. I highly recommend this to anyone, even vodka snobs.

Very pleasant when mixed with a good tonic. No after taste or affect. And, for the price it can't be beat! COSTCO gets a big plus on this jewel! Belvedere, Hanger 1, and Stoli are no comparison.

I have been drinking belvedier and Grey Goose for years, and afer just one bottle I have switched to Kirkland. It is very light and smooth, but be carefull when mixing because it is much stronger than it taste. A costco manager told me that it was distilled seven times

I have not tried it yet. That big sign "Kirland" on the bottle just gives me a bad taste in my mouth! I know, Keep an open mind!

Incredibly smooth French vodka. Actually I would give it a 4.5 star rating for taste (There are some better/different tasting Vodkas), and 10 star rating for value. At 30 dollars for 1.75L you can't go wrong.

Great balue, a little after taste still there, suspiciously tasting just like a VERY expensive Jean Marc XO, as always Costco scores big
