The best outfield arm I ever saw, and probably the best defensive right fielder of all time.

Not too shabby a hitter either, and while he had a reputation for being a touch prickly, he was a good man.

Clemente was a complete headcase and a hypochondriac, but he did experience real prejudice and no one can deny his greatness as a ballplayer or his humanitarian intentions. . .a nice guy cut down too early. . .

Latinos are justly proud. He's definitely one of the greats of American baseball.
