Sure, when I was a child. All childs cries and cry and gets angry in public to embarrassed parents and take all they want, and I wasn't and exception. Then, as all child, I grew up and stop doing it because I started thinking and being conscient of what I was doing (and what was their reaction).

not on purpose when I was young. not back in the days when they could pound the hell out of us and nothing would happen to them. and that is what my mother would have done if I embarrassed her in public on purpose or not. it would be more the other way around she would embarrass me.

Uh. . .no. . .because they would have intentionally beat my ass and taken my bike, glove, and comic books.

No, but they have done it to me a time or two.

As a kid, way too many times to remember. But one sticks out in my memory and my mother brings it up, from time to time, in front of my kids. We were at my aunt and uncles house for a backyard BBQ and there were lots of relatives from both sides of my family. My dad was sitting with all his brothers and brothers-in-law talking. I walked up to him and started asking him a question while he was talking. This was strictly a taboo act to my father. He motioned to me with the "look" that Bird808 was talking about in her post, but I persisted. Suddenly he stood up and in his deep voiced he said "How many times do I have to tell you, not to interupt me?" Suddenly all eyes were on me, my cousins, my uncles, everyone. I had a reputation as a smart ass kid and I knew I had to say something, anything and I replied "I don't know, how many times do you want to tell me"? It got a laugh from everyone. Well, needless to say, the sh*t hit the fan, and my dad gave me what is commonly refered to as a "good old fashioned ass whoopping!", in full view of everyone. I took it though and kept my mouth shut after that, for a while anyway.

I did with my Mum when I was a kid. You know that every parent has "the look" for their kid where its their discreet way of saying in a public place "Stop what your doing right now as your going to be in big trouble if you carry on". Well my Mother gave me "the look" when I was ten and I cheekily replied "Mum, whats wrong with your eye?" and boy I remember to this day never asking that question again.

Not intentionally (she would have beat me lol), but I'm sure I've embarrased my mother at times, especially as a child.
